The Guardian of the Pearl Rockfish Tournament

The Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company (RHVFC) hosts a two-day fishing tournament from June 11-12. This tournament features two divisions, the youth division for ages 15 and under and an adults division. The top three finishers in both divisions win cash prizes. Not only is this an exciting fishing competition, but it helps raise money for the RHVFC. To participate, sign up before the June 7 deadline. 

Independence Day Festivities

Independence Day is arguably the biggest summer holiday, and Rock Hall, MD, takes celebrating the nation’s independence seriously. On July 3, head down to the harbor and take in a dazzling fireworks display. The fireworks reflect off the water, creating a cool effect you have to see for yourself. On the 4th of July, there’s an Independence Day parade on Main Street, followed by games, crafts, vendors, and food at the Civic Center. It’s an action-packed day and a half and one of the most popular events in Rock Hall, MD.

Kent County Fair

Year after year, excited attendees flock to the Kent County Fair for food, games, rides, culture, and more. This year, the fair runs from July 21-23. The Kent County Fair doesn’t occur in Rock Hall, MD, but in nearby Tolchester, MD. It’s only about a ten-minute drive from Osprey Point and well worth the short commute if you’re looking for some good old-fashioned fair fun. 

Rock Hall Pirates & Wenches Weekend

If you’re in Rock Hall, MD, in mid-August, keep an eye out for some peculiar visitors: pirates. Rock Hall Pirates and Wenches Weekend is a pirate-themed event full of family fun that takes place from August 12-14. Attendees are encouraged to dress in pirate attire while they enjoy a variety of festivities, including a marketplace on Main Street, costume contests, kids activities, live music, sing-a-longs, waterfront events, and even performances by pirates and mermaids.
